Roxy Music is the debut studio album by the English art rock band Roxy Music, with lead singer Bryan Ferry and keyboard player Brian Eno. It is a bewildering album for its time. Band member Andy Mackay said "we certainly didn't invent eclecticism but we did say and prove that rock 'n' roll could accommodate – well, anything really". Production could have been better, and for some reason their hit song of those days (the awesome
Virginia Plain) was not included (rectified at later releases), but the album still deserves a place in my list. Favourite songs include
