Ultra is the ninth studio album by English electronic music band Depeche Mode. It came after a number of problematic years for the band (detailed in the Wiki link), it is a remarkably strong album, in which they combined several alternative rock styles within their own electronic sound. As one critic said: "This truly is the sound of a band gone to hell, and barely returned from it with all the scars to show to the world".
