See See the Sun is the first album by the Dutch progressive rock band Kayak. Although there are some influences (Yes, Genesis, even King Crimson), they mold their own sound on this stunning debut.
Lyrics,
Mammoth (with an amazing barrel organ part), and the excellent title song were minor hits in the Netherlands, and are among the best tracks. But many other tracks are on that level, including the epic
Lovely Luna and
Mouldy Wood. An excellent debut from my favourite Dutch prog band.
