Red Queen to Gryphon Three is the third studio album made by the English progressive rock band Gryphon. It is a fascinating instrumental prog folk album, with rock instruments blending in with medieval classical instruments in four epic songs of 8-11 minutes, switching all the time from folk to soft rock. Generally seen as the highlight of their repertoire, and I agree with that. The album title and the song titles are all chess-inspired, and highly original as well - but that does not make it a concept album as some critics have claimed.
