Between the Lines is the seventh studio album by American singer-songwriter Janis Ian. After the introspective masterpiece Stars (link), her next album turned out to be far more outgoing and revealing, with a shift from pop ballads to more jazz and blues inspired sounds - and it sported a million seller single in the beautiful autobiographic track At Seventeen. Other gems on this album, which became a million seller as well, are In The Winter, Tea And Sympathy, and Lover's Lullaby.
