The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars (often shortened to Ziggy Stardust) is the fifth studio album by English singer-songwriter David Bowie - and frequently hailed as one of his best and most influential. The music heads in a different direction than its predecessor, Hunky Dory (link), into a weird but effective blend of glam rock and proto punk. It is a remarkably consistent album, with the highlights StarmanSuffragette City, and above all, the album closer Rock 'N' Roll Suicide.
