Close to the Edge is the fifth studio album by English progressive rock band Yes The first appearance of this prog rock giant in my list, even though I like the first four as well, but not enough to include them. This is arguably their best prog record, and one of the best by any band - it regularly ends up in the top 3 of such lists. The title song takes the complete A-side of the album, and at 18 minutes is one of the longest and most impressive prog epics of the seventies. The other tracks are great as well, especially the delightful And You And I.
