Songs of Love and Hate is the third studio album by Canadian singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen. It is generally seen as one of his most emotionally intense albums, with the lyrics dominating, but music still great as well. One critic later called it "one of the scariest albums of the last forty years", and it played a key role in Cohen getting a reputation of a mood killer. There's no denying though that it is a great album that consistently demands attention, with outstanding songs like
