Loaded is the fourth studio album by American rock band the Velvet Underground. The album's title refers to the record company's request that the band produce an album "loaded with hits". And they kind of did that, with several songs being eminently suited for radio play, although one keeps getting a feeling that the band is making fun of the whole idea. It did result in perhaps their most coherent album, and certainly a great one. Ironically though neither the singles nor the album charted. My favourites include Who Loves The Sun, Sweet Jane, I Found A Reason, and Oh! Sweet Nuthin'.
