Nursery Cryme is the third studio album by the English rock band Genesis. After the throwaway debut and the promising Trespass, the third album shows another great leap in quality, the first step on an astonishing journey that made them my favourite prog band of the seventies (only to be followed by a sharp decline afterwards). Steve Hackett and Phil Collins made their debut on this album, adding to the original members Peter Gabriel, Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford. The Musical Box is the most famous track - a spooky Victorian story of over 10 minutes, but the other songs are not much lower in quality.
