Stranded is the third album by English art rock band Roxy Music, their first album without Brian Eno. Right from the excellent album opener Street Life (an unlikely UK top 10 hit) it is clear that the remaining band members were more than capable of continuing their own brand of art rock, experimental and successful - the album went to #1 in the UK. In spite of their split-up, Eno rated Stranded as Roxy Music's finest record. My personal favourites, aside from the already mentioned hit, are the weird rocker Amazona, the melancholic and dramatic A Song For Europe, the vintage Roxy song Mother Of Pearl, and the slow closer Sunset.
