Merlin - Bard Of The Unseen is the eleventh studio album by the Dutch progressive rock band Kayak. This concept-album is a new extended version of side 1 of their 1981 album Merlin, with nine new songs added to the original five. Singer Bert Heerink, who took over on the preceding album, and guest vocalist Cindy Oudshoorn (who became a band member later) are in top form, the supporting New Philharmonic Orchestra gives another dimension to the songs, and the eight new ones are almost as good as the brilliant original ones, making the story flow perfectly. My favourite album from the Netherlands. Special attention (in addition to the remakes of the original five) for the tracks When The Seer Looks Away, The Otherworld, and Friendship And Love.
