A Rush of Blood to the Head is the second studio album by British alternative rock band Coldplay. No sophomore slump here: the album is even stronger then the excellent debut Parachutes, and was a huge critical and commercial success, with over ten million copies sold. As one critic said: "sparser, stranger and even catchier than its predecessor". With this album, Coldplay were turning into the huge band that Radiohead had been destined to become, if they had not taken a completely different turn around the year 2000. Some of the highlights for me are In My Place, God Put A Smile Upon Your Face, The Scientist, Clocks, Daylight, and Warning Sign.
