Hopes and Fears is the debut studio album by the English alternative rock band Keane. Arguably, the debut album of the century, and possibly even of all time. Although they were quickly hailed as the next big Coldplay, they had their own style, and personally I think they are better. A dozen melodious beauties, perfectly rendered (gorgeous singing by Tom Chaplin), and certainly in my top 20 of all time. The album has three excellent songs (Can't Stop Now, Sunshine, and Untitled 1), eight that are even better, and to top that, one of my all-time favourite songs, Bedshaped.
