Afterglow is the fifth studio album by Canadian singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan. This album came six years after Surfacing, and four years after she took a time out for personal reasons, including giving birth to a daughter. Nothing much changed in her music though, it's still high quality song writing in a subdued well-produced dream pop style. Predictable, but excellent, and sales were substantial, if lower than for the preceding album. The following songs warrant extra attention in my opinion: Fallen, World On Fire, Stupid, Answer, Time, and Dirty Little Secret.
