Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven is the second studio album by Canadian post-rock band Godspeed You! Black Emperor. It is a double CD album, stylistically continuing where F♯ A♯ ∞ left off, but with sufficient changes to be at least as interesting as the debut - most of all a decrease in pattern predictability. Four soundscapes hovering between post-rock and avant garde classical music, wonderful instrumentation, and effective sampling of spoken messages. One critic summed it up perfectly: "Musical and emotional opposites alternate as regularly, and naturally, as breathing: delicate string work and rock-out guitar and drums, spoken word and walls of sound, gracious and possessed, tip-toes and cliff-diving, dark hallways and blinding sunshine."
