Takk... is the fourth studio album by the Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Rós. Stylistically, it is a continuation of (), but the atmosphere has changed a bit. To paraphrase a critic: where () represented a dark winter's day, Takk... is a first sign of spring. At times it reminds me of the religious minimalism style in classical music (think Arvo Pärt and Henryk Górecki), but of course used in a slow rock context. Some tracks that warrant special attention: Glósóli (Glowing sole), Sé lest (I see a train), Sæglópur (Lost at sea), Mílanó (Milan), Andvari (Zephyr), and Svo hljótt (So quietly).
