Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is the eighth studio album by the English rock band the Beatles, and without a doubt one of the most famous albums of all time. It was a real paradigm shift - a pop/rock album could suddenly be more than a collection of songs. It helps that it includes my two most favourite Beatles songs (
She's Leaving Home,
A Day In The Life), but the immense variety of styles and baffling juxtapositions (like
Within You Without You followed by
When I'm Sixty-Four) makes this album still sound fresh today.
