Meddle is the sixth studio album by English rock band Pink Floyd. The side long epic
Echoes is a clear improvement over the
Atom Heart Mother suite at their previous album, and gave an inkling of things to come for the band. The five shorter songs on the A-side are amazingly diverse, and mostly excellent (only
Seamus is a bit superfluous), with
A Pillow Of Winds being my personal favourite of the A-side. The combination of these six tracks works very well as an album - better than any of its predecessors. But so much better was still to come....
